Ink note [unrelated to the text] dated Sept 3 in blank inner margin appointing three commissioners to survey a boundary.

This appeal from the Whig State Committee is signed in type at the bottom by nine Committee members, including Moses Emery, the addressee. "Is there a Whig in the State who does not feel anxious to share the honors of a victory, that shall prostrate Locofocoism forever in Maine, and swell the advancing triumph of Whig principles that will soon plant the Whig Banner upon the Capitol of the Union. The eyes of the whole Union are upon us." Whigs are urged not "to fall into the arms of Loco focoism.
