Includes both Yiddish and Spanish-language title pages. This work examines the history of Yiddish theater pioneer Abraham Goldfaden (1840-1908), and his collaboration with acclaimed actor Sigmund Mogulesko (1858-1914), who founded the first professional Yiddish theater troupe, in Iasi, Romania in 1876. The final three pages includes advertisements for Zylbercweig's famous Leksikon fun yidishn teater (Lexicon or Encyclopedia of the Yiddish Theatre).
