Smudged stamp of Rand School of Social Science, Labor Research Department on front cover along with "Soviet Bus" handwritten in red pencil. Detailed summary of the five year plan spanning 1928/29 to 1932/33, projecting potential needs and production. The foreword notes "This pamphlet is a chapter of the book 'Doing Business with Russia,' to be published by Harper and Brothers at the beginning of 1930..." (We have found no evidence that a book of that name by this author was ever (truncated) published.) Amtorg was the Soviet trade organization in the USA, often accused of funneling money and spreading propaganda. (Inventory #: 64962)
