Washington, 1880.. 17pp. Dbd. Mildly chipped. Good. The slip bill printing, done in a limited number for the use of members on the floor of the Senate, of an amendment proposed as a substitute for the bill to accept and ratify the agreement submitted by the Ute Indians in Colorado for the sale of their reservation. Enumerates terms of the sale as well as future dealings with the Utes, setting up a government fund for them and establishing agencies. The Utes had murdered a government agent the year before, and this was used as an opportunity to deprive them of lands. (Inventory #: WRCAM26603A)
