Vol. 1, No. 39, pp. [609] 610-622 describe in detail the Iuka-Corinth campaign, with the daily correspondence between Grant and Rosecrans, pp. 618-619 Abraham Lincoln's order of the blockade of Brownsville [Texas] relaxed, many other details for that week, from Joshua Chamberlain's move to Courts-Martial as presiding officer, and on page 622 Lincoln's proclamation of a draft for 200,000 more men. Page one detached but present. The details in these papers give information not found in the Offical Records and not easily detectable outside of going to several different archival libraries and historical sites. Chipping to edges, two hole punches to left margins.
