Colorado Springs, 1900. About very good.. pp. on an accordion folded sheet. Original green wrappers, printed in red. Wear and soiling, lightly creased. Contemporary notations to text. "A few matter of fact statements concerning the Solid Little City of the Cucharas Valley, with a brief description of the surrounding country." Promotional work for La Veta, Colorado, located due south of Denver, about thirty-five miles north of the New Mexico border. La Veta "is a live, wide-awake town, with four churches, a handsome school building, one drug store, one millinery store, a ladies' tailoring establishment...an opera house, a lumber yard, three physicians and one dentist." All this and more in this growing town of five hundred folk. (Present-day La Veta boasts a similar population.) One copy in OCLC, at History Colorado.
