J.K. Ralston Studio, 1986. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good/Fair. Oblong folio (24 x 31.5 cm), pp. 271 plus 24 plates of black and white and color artwork. One of 1000 copies. Brown faux leather boards with gilt spine text. White and brown jacket with illustration, "A Steer Outfit." Numerous black and white photographs and drawings, and several pages of color and black and white plates. Hinges are loose, but intact. Jacket shows numerous tears, some taped, small chipping and creasing. The artist's accounts of his life ranching in Montana, studying art in Chicago, serving in the Army, working as a professional artist back in Montana, etc. Ralston was awarded a Gold Medal by the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in 1978 and inducted in 2012. Ralston Studio Corporation in Billings, Montana, a 25.5" x 11" 3-fold brochure on pale yellow paper with brown ink, with one illustration, very good condition with a closed tear to front. The also includes a single leaf typewritten and mechanically reproduced "Addendum" for the year 1987.
