Very Good. 25 x 31cm. Undated (but probably 1944 or a bit earlier). An appealing black and white photo. Pinholes at corners. Modest spotting and wear. Adam Hats, a manufacturer and retailer of low-priced hats, had dozens of stores around the United States. Adam Hats was also a sponsor of boxing matches held at Madison Square Garden and perhaps elsewhere. They must have used boxers in some of their advertising. Harry Bobo. an African American heavyweight fighter from Pittsburgh, had 44 bouts between 1939 and 1944.. He never got a title fight and retired from the ring in 1944. Bobo was working as a bartender in Philadelphia when he died. He was inducted (truncated)
