A bleak retelling of the siege of Masada by Roman troops in 74 AD, leading one thousand Jews to commit suicide in order to avoid death at the hands of the Roman soldiers. An early career script by noted Italian screenwriter Nicola Badalucco, who was best known for "The Damned" (1969), which won an Oscar for Best Screenplay.
Set in the Masada fortress in Israel.
