Spine ends chipped, wear to spine ends, internally very good. Roessle was another of that periods immigrant successes, starting as a laborer and becoming the king of celery. He would go into the hotel business beginning by buying the Delavan House from Edward Delavan who ran an underground railroad station through it and it is believed Roessle continued its operation.
