Bogotá: Letrarte Editores, 2011. color plates (some fldg.), bio., color pict. fldg. d.j. OCLC: 839676902. This third volume of the series "The Face of History" is dedicated to the facades of the city of Santa Marta in the Colombian Caribbean. The book brings together 62 photographs from the façades of buildings from different time periods, taken according to a technique of color planimetric by restorer and photographer, specializing in architecture, Antonio Castañeda Buraglia. Historical texts are of the architect Alberto Escovar Wilson-White. The book allows the appreciation and reading of the forms in the facades "isolated from the context of the city, to give them the real role that they had in their time. The historical process of Santa Marta reveals a benevolent fate for some of them, while for others, because of its geographical location, foreshadows their destruction. It is deeply desirable that this does not happen, but if so, here is their mark and their history" (Our translation) --Verso Cover. (Inventory #: 100976)
