A TRIP TO THE MOON, Faultless Starch Co, 1898, first edition, near fine in wraps. Illustrated. A short little fantasy about a little boy who is taken to the moon by the moon elves only to discover why and how the moon waxes and wanes. Of course part of the answer lies in, what else, Faultless Starch. Quite scarce. (The 'Faultless Starch Books' were a line of primers that were given to early purchasers of the product from the 1890s. They were used as a marketing technique by John Nesbitt.[1] Thirty-six of the books were published from the 1890s to the 1930s).
