N.d., circa 1900. Measuring 47 by 35 mm. Attractive front with oval centerpiece surrounded by striated decoration, and triangular corners. Spine with "raised bands". Back similar to front sans centerpiece. The decoration has a slight rustic appearance, such as one might associate with a hunting lodge smoking room. The box opens in the front to reveal what we believe was intended for matches but could store anything appropriately small, and the other side opens to two stamp trays or repositories. Both sides will close on their own -- they are springed flaps.
