The Annual was notable for the inclusion of works by Photorealists such as Chuck Close, Philip Pearlstein and Audrey Flack. Also present are the more traditional Realist painters like Sidney Tillim, Neil Welliver, Gregory Gillespie, Jane Freilicher and Alfred Leslie who shifted to representation from Abstract Expressionism.
