This edition and publisher not in WorldCat. A scarce look at the world of books, publishing, and stationers for the year 1885. Journal articles include general news of the publishing industry, Additions to Libraries, Correspondence, Latest Publications, Literary Notes, Music Notes and News, as well as news on patents and copyrights, and many advertisements. Eight engraved portrait plates of people who made Contributions to Trade History, with their biographies, include: Joseph Wesley Harper, Fletcher Harper, A.S. Barnes, Alfred C [Cutler] Barnes, J. B. Lippincott, George W. Childs, John Grigg, and the trio of Edmund Claxton, George Remsen and Chas. C. Haffelfinger. A full-page color advertisement for "Christmas 1885", with a section dedicated to Illustrated Books for the Holidays.
