First British edition, published in the same year as the American edition; 6 x 4 1/4; pp. [12]; pictorial wraps; illustrated by Palmer Cox with in-line and full-page lithographs; a small rubbed spot to lower margin of fron twrap, a closed cut to tail of spine, and a minor nick to upper right corner, else bright and well-preserved; very good condition.A charming book of fairy tales, in included "The Naughty Little Bears," "The Birds' Wedding," and "King Leo's Good Resolution." The tales were illustrated by Canadian artist Palmer Cox (1840 - 1924), best known for The Brownies.
