Kingfield, ME: Laura Hall Dunham, 1993. First Edition. Signed by the Author. Octavo, paperbound (slick, illus. light blue wrappers), 85 pp. Fine. From lower cover: Mrs. Havel V. Hall attended a one room school in Sebec, Maine and Fox-Croft Academy. She was married 67 years to John Hall, formerly of Sangerville, now of New Portland, Maine and reared three children. She wrote her autobiography so that her nine grandchildren would know how she spent her childhood in the horse-and-buggy days of the early 1900s on her grandfather’s farm. Hall’s daughter, Laura Hall Dunham of Cassabassett Valley, a writer for many years, brings to life not only her mother’s childhood years, but the years that she, her brother Emery, and Sister Marily spent on their parents’ farm in New Portland. Dunham also writes of theheartbreaking loss of their mother to Alzheimer’s disease in 1988. (Inventory #: 61023bd)
