Because the book is printed entirely on handmade paper, the quality of the black and white illustrations in this limited edition is far superior to those in the trade edition, and the mounted color plates seem to be sharper and richer in color as well. The story features a boot cleaner named Bill who ends up baby sitting, or becoming the Minder, for a disagreeable group of children and they have marvelous adventures with Bill.
