by WEISS, Sara
Rochester, NY: The Austin Publishing Company, 1906. First Edition. Signed presentation from Adolph M. Weiss (her husband) on the front endpaper: "Mr. & Mrs. D.H. Rawson, With best wishes From A.M. Weiss. Jany, 1911." With the personal bookplate of Twila Ransom on the front pastedown. Sara Weiss died in 1904 and this book was posthumously published. But it was apparently written prior to the author's previous 1903 book "Journeys To The Planet Mars." Weiss was a Spiritualist who used remote viewing to visit Mars. The book includes original illustrations of Martian flora. 8vo., lime-green cloth, stamped in red & black; 207 pages. Frontispiece portrait of Weiss, with six plates/original drawings illustrating Martian flora.. Very Good (covers nice with minor wear & small, very faint spot on front cover; contents clean & tight, crease to frontispiece tissue guard). A nice copy!
