Quarto; VG-; Maroon spine with gold text; Boards strong, generally clean, with shelfwear and edgewear, cluster of small round stains on front cover, rubbing at corners, both ends of spine chipping and fraying; Textblock darkened with age, otherwise generally clean aside from penciled-in notes, however, this copy was owned by the author and all notes and marginalia are attributed to him, inscription to previous owner on copyright page, inside front hinge - loose threads from the binding run the length of the spine, open tear along tail edge of front free-end paper, inner hinge partially cracked - exposes that textblock is on the precipice of separating from binding, tail edge tear on pg 23, most extensive marginalia on page 27, back hinge cracked at top of gutter - is not fully cracked; pp 89.
