The publisher, Anson Whipple, was the son-in-law of Isaiah Thomas, the Revolutionary War printer, publisher, soldier and patriot who owned the press on which this Bible was printed. Good, end papers and title page professionally restored, hinge opened before final signature, original calf binding well worn with label gone. pages toned. The printing took 5 years to complete, with 8,000 copies printed, few of which still survive. A Bible that has seen much use in 200+ years..
