London: Sampson, Low, Marston, Low and Searle, 1874. Original reddish brown cloth with superb gilt and black stamped cover design of dragonflies, gilt lettering on cover and spine. Tinted frontispiece, line drawing on title page, and fifteen exquisite color lithographic plates, with printed tissue guards attached at the gutter (one very slightly torn and neatly detached). A wonderfully preserved copy of a book commonly found disbound. Expertly (nearly invisibly) re-cased, slight wear to corners, otherwise very good and tight. (Inventory #: 4919)
