Ghost Stories of Venice: From Historic Spanish Point to Englewood.
Historic Venice Press, (2002)
by Cool, Kim.
Historic Venice Press, (2002). Octavo, illustrated wrappers, 112 pp. Fine (As New). From lower cover: Until this book was conceived, it seemed as though Venice, Florida might become the one town in America without a decent ghost to call its own. Even after the search began, it soon became obvious that the ghosts of Venice were not like the ghosts of cities in the northeast where historic characters often return to haunt their battlefields, courthouses and historic buildings. Things that go bump in the night are different in Venice. While the ghost of Ponce de Leon should be close by, finding him proved far more difficult than finding cowboy ghosts and ghosts on motorcycles and even a ghost that haunted his widow’s car. Nevertheless, the sleuthing continued. This book is the result of those efforts. (Inventory #: 71436bd)
