Mikhail Izrailevich Armalinskii-Peltsman (1947 - ) is a controversial Russian-American poet, author, blogger, and publisher. Born in Leningrad, Armalinskii was educated as an engineer, but he was also well-known throughout the city's literary underground, where he published several samizdat books of poetry. He emigrated to the US in 1976 and founded the Peltsman Corporation with his father, inventor Israel Peltsman. A prolific author of prose, essays, and poetry, he established his own publishing house in 1984 - M. I. P. - and caused an unprecedented outrage among the Russian literary circles in 1986, when he published "Pushkin A. S. Secret Journal, 1836 - 1837" - purportedly containing Pushkin's own pornographic notes, but attributed by many to Armalinskii himself. His current poetry collection was part of ALMANAC's series "Reprinty samizdata."
