June 1894, a boy rights to request to come into the care a home for a month or so, noted at the bottom in separate hand to be written by Ernest Salsbury, aged 10, his mother is being taken into the Union workhouse.
In his hand he writes, Please sir mother was beswared [besweared] to ask you if you would please let me come in your parlour a month or so as they do think it would do me good if you would like me to if not send me back and say. (Inventory #: 2800)
