A condemned murderer escapes from jail when Nazis bomb the French prison where he is being held. Encountering the body of a dead French soldier, he steals the man's identification papers and uniform and escapes to Africa, joining the Resistance Movement and, in doing so, finding new purpose and a sense of patriotism to France.
Set in France and French Equatorial Africa.
