Signed and numbered by the Danish-born American artist, Kay Nielsen, on the limitation page. Kay Nielsen (1886-1957) was one of the most significant illustrators during the early 20th century along with Arthur Rackham and Edmund Dulac. Nielsen's illustrations were influenced by oriental art, the style of Aubrey Beardsley, and the Art Nouveau movement.
