John Wilkes Booth Assassination Newspaper

By [John Wilkes]
The Circular, Mount Tom, May 1, 1865. A small size, 8 page newspaper from the famous Oneida Community in New York, an early "commune" in experimental living. This issue contains an article on the shooting death of assassin John Wilkes Booth. Also some other end of the war reports including the surrender of rebel guerrilla leader John Mosby. Various religiously-themed content but a bit of reporting of news of the day as well. An interesting title from this interesting community in in upstate New York. In very good condition except for a little spine wear.
