Accompanied by a commemorative silver salver try from the Columbian Exposition and featuring an image of the Women's Building. As part of the Columbian Exposition, a world's fair hosted in 1893, the Women's Congress convened to establish a building constructed by and for women, to promote the work of women architects, artists, writers, and entrepreneurs. Touted as "the greatest event of its kind in history," the Women's Congress released these commemorative pieces to spread awareness and raise profits to support women's work.
