1972. The Apollo program, which ended in a demonstration of détente in space: a joint orbital flight of the Apollo and Soyuz spaceships. Three space related FDC's and one air mail envelope, all with Russian postage stamps. The first is of Nixon on a visit to Moscow. He signs an agreement to dock an Apollo spacecraft with a Russian Sues space laboratory in 1972. Another of the FDC's depicts a launch of Soyuz-11 from Russia.
