Vinnipeg (Winnipeg): Nakladom i drukom novogu shliakhu, 1952. Second Edition. Very good. Second edition (first published in 1951 in Buenos Aires); 8 3/4 x 5 3/4; pp. [2], 5-196; pictorial wraps in black, red, and white; small nicks to tips of spine and a bit of wear along edges; staples showing at gutter (hinges solid); overall in very good condition. Oleksandr Vashchenko (1909 - 1974), writing under the pseudonyms A. Vysochenko and Mykhailo Kylymny, was a Ukrainian author and journalist. He worked for Komsomolskaia Pravda and several other journals in the 1920s and 30s. After spending time in prison during WWII and later, in DP camps in Germany, he emigrated to Brasil in 1948. "USSR without a Mask," his first book, described "what Bolshevism brought to the Ukrainian people."
