The book describes the story and trial of John Demjanjuk (Ivan Demianiuk) (1920 - 2012) - Ukrainian-American, who in the 1970s and 1980s, was, allegedly, wrongly accused of being "Ivan the Terrible" - an infamous watchman at the Treblinka Extermination Camp, lost his US citizenship, was extradited to Israel to face trial, was acquitted, returned to the US, only to be extradited again for another trial, this time in Germany.
