Minor foxing but very good. 19th-century French library stamp on the half-title. First Edition. Trebuchet was one of the most eminent and influential authorities on public health in France, serving in various official capacities including head of the sanitary office at Paris's Prefecture de Police and Secretary of the Council of Public Health in the same city. His Administrative Code sets out the rules and regulations governing dangerous and unhealthy work environments (particularly those involving steam engines) and public nuisances. Pages 281-301 contain a table of businesses classed by their products, listing their specific offenses against public health and citing the laws governing their activities.
