Celebrated single issue of this legendary American literary magazine, which billed itself as "the only American periodical that ever gives the reader something he hasn't learned to like somewhere else." This issue dedicated to the sculpture of Constantin Brancusi, with 12 inserted leaves of photographic plates illustrating his work. Literary contributions include Ezra Pound's essay, "Brancusi;" works by Francis Picabia, Mina Loy, Paul Morand, Mary Butts, and others, as well as Jean Cocteau's long poem "Cape of Good Hope," marking the first publication in English of Cocteau's literary debut. A highly important issue, rarely found in anything approaching collector's condition.
