[New York]: McLoughlin Bros. Publisher, 30 Beekman [Street], 1869. Wraps. Very good. 12mo; [7pp]; yellow pictorial wrapper relief printed in red and navy, rear wrapper publisher's ads for Paper Dolls-Book Form and Paper Furniture; publisher's string binding; ownership in pencil on verso front wrapper; color pictorial title page; color illustrations with verse each page; light overall soiling, 2" split at foot of wrapper fold; very good. The date of publication is estimated for McLoughlin Brothers' address on Beekman Street in New York. The life and death of the Little Old Woman is told in ironic rhyming verse, and while she may have been pitied for her age and infirmity, she was wealthy and lacked in no physical comforts. "This Little Old Woman, (The story so goes,) Had nothing to wear but Abundance of clothes. And, oh! Let me weep At the dismal news, She would have been barefooted, But for her shoes.".
