Portions previously printed in Atlantic Monthly etc. This profusely illustrated title by editorial cartoonist and Pulitzer Prize winning Mauldin depicts life as a World War II veteran and includes commentary about the "red scare", Franco and Fascism, Zionism and more. Inscribed on the flyleaf "To John and Claire. Bill Maudlin." The recipients were Mauldin's friends John Evans, son of Mable (truncated)
