New York: Robert M. McBride & Company, 1923. First U.S. Edition. Cloth. Fine/Near Fine. Large 8vo., 258pp. Beautiful First US Edition of this anthology of the exploits of a half-dozen of English history's most notorious highwaymen. Bound in publisher's original brown textured cloth with titles stamped in red on spine and front board. Illustrated end-papers. Illustrations from woodblocks by Paul Honore. Square, tight and clean throughout with just a touch of wear to heel. Remarkably well preserved. As is the equally attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($3.00) which has fairly minor wear to edges, fold ends and tips. Lightly toning. Still fresh and bright and difficult to find, particularly in nice condition. A gorgeous collectable copy of an uncommon title.
