New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1930. First U.S. Edition. Cloth. Fine/Near Fine. 8vo., 241pp. plus 2pp ads. Beautiful First US Edition, published originally in Sweden in 1922. Translated here by Agnes Platt. Bound in publisher's original black cloth with titles stamped in green on spine and front board. Square, tight and clean throughout with little or no wear. Perhaps a hint at the spine ends but barely noticeable. Remarkably well-preserved . Very attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($2.00), has some rubbing to hinges and folds. Light wear to spine ends and tips. Mild soiling to white rare panel. Still sharp and bright and very presentable and impossible to find in decent condition. A gorgeous collectable copy of an uncommon title, with or without the jacket . (Hubin, p.132).
