Boston, (MA): Hollis & Gunn, 1852. Broadside, 9 ¾ x 7 ¾ inches, printed on blue paper. A Canadian poet from Toronto, Lidstone published a similar verse tribute to Henry Clay (printed in Buffalo, N.Y.), another prominent American who died in 1852. First line: “Suspended be the music of the spheres”; last line: “Tears flow fast, and I can write no more.” OCLC locates one copy (Massachusetts Historical Society). Folded (rubbed; foxing, heavy in upper corner).
