Prague: Edice Olymp, 1927. Pictorial wrappers. Very Good +. Karel Teige. A scarce, impressive example of Czech modernism, designed in 1927 by one of Prague's leading avant-garde artists, writers and critics, Karel Tiege (1900-1951). Highlighting some of the great artists and architects to emerge from Europe in the 1920s, such as Moholy-Nagy, Mondrian, Theo van Doesburg, Tatlin, El Lissitzky, Malevich, Naum Gabo, Archipenko, Picasso, Le Corbusier and Gropius, all of whom have featured work at the rear of the book. Octavo, a clean, VG+ example, with very light wear along the foot of the spine. The wonderful modernist lay-out, formatting (and design) by Karl Tiege himself.
