A deep, robust albumen print from a negative of "Q" B Woodbury [Woodbury's first initial should be "D" but the mat is imprinted "Q"] dated June,1862 and printed by Gardner for his Photographic Sketch Book of the Civil War, volume 1 in 1865. This is the original Gardner print mounted on a printed mat as issued in the book. The mat, though cut down, retains good margins around the photograph.
