A handsome copy of the 1893 1st edition of this elegant collection of writings from a number of the leading female writers in late 19th century Connecticut. Bright and VG to VG+ in its decorative, duotone cloth, with lavish gilt-titling and flourishes to the front panel. One small chip at the front free endpaper's lower corner, spotting along the rear panel and a somewhat fragile --but still sturdy-- inner hinge. Quarto, top-edge gilt, published in conjunction with Chicago's 1893 World's Fair Columbian Exposition.
