first edition Softcover
1950 · [No place]
by WERTHAM, Frederic (Ezra Pound, C.G. Jung)
[No place]: American Journal of Psychotherapy, 1950. Softcover. Near Fine. Two offprints. Stapled self-wrappers. P.585-600; 11pp. Each with a faint vertical crease and with the subject ("Nazi Collaboration") in ink along the edge of the spine, else near fine. The first pamphlet by Wertham, deals largely with Pound's interactions with the Fascists and Nazis during the war, and in passing, names Carl Jung as another Nazi collaborator, connect. The second pamphlet prints several responses in the form of Letters to the Editor, mostly ignoring the content on Pound, but largely concentrated on debunking the accusation of Jung (not surprising in this setting in the *American Journal of Psychotherapy*), as well as Wertham's response. Interestingly the Wertham pamphlet indulges in his nostalgic reminiscences of his university days visiting The Poetry Bookshop. *OCLC* locates no copies. (Inventory #: 460953)
