Silver halide print meas. appx 330 x 230 mm within a blind stamped border. A bold four line inscription in Harding's hand across the bottom: To the Ohio Society of Maryland with / the most cordial greetings to those who are / ever adding to the good name of the old / Buckeye State / Sincerely, Warren G Harding
Handsome photograph of the Ohio Republican Warren G Harding who died in office in 1923. The print bears the small blind stamp in the lower left corner of the photographic studio: Harris & Ewing, Washington DC. George Harris and Martha Ewing owned and operated one of the most successful photographic studios in the nation prior to WWII. Their archive of negatives is housed in the Library of Congress.
