ALL THE YEAR ROUND

12 Months of the Year

  • Cream spine, ultramarine cloth with gilt titles

By WHITCOMB RILEY, JAMES
GUSTAVE BAUMANN'S TWELVE BEAUTIFULLY SUBDUED COLOR WOODCUTS IN ORANGE & BROWN REFLECT RURAL LIFE AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY FOR EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR. EACH WOODCUT FACES A POEM - written by JAMES WHITCOMB RILEY in rural dialect describing the month

Square 4to, cream spine darkened, spine tips & corner rub, offsetting of glue residue on eps seems to be common. On the blank front-free ep there is a handwritten list - dated February 23, 1945, with owner's name at top followed by her 3 friends who are "On an Adventure". Otherwise, internally it is tight & clean.

This is a finely designed book - including the title page - publsihed in french fold .
GUSTAVE BAUMANN HAS CREATED A UNIQUELY HANDSOME BOOK
