This copy warmly inscribed by the author: "Greetings to my doctor friend 'Jack' from sincerely yours, Elmer, Nov. 27 - '51." Vernon, Elmer and the boys go hunting and trout and salmon fishing in the Yukon. There is a remarkable literary quality about this diary, with quotes in the text by Shakespeare, and two original poems of 24 and 32 lines. Members of the party included Drs. Vernon Smith, John D. Moody and Nippert Smith of Saint Paul; the author and Judge Gunnar Nordbye of Minneapolis; a guide and a cook. Edition size probably very small. Not found in OCLC.
