Bookplate signed by Auchincloss loosely laid in at front. Octavo; [iv], 284pp. Illustrated dust jacket with $3.00 price intact; book in gray and red cloth with dark blue lettering. Interior tape repair to dust jacket along edges, spine ends, and folds, with a dampstain affecting bottom inch or so of front panel, mostly visible on interior. Jacket otherwise scuffed along bottom front edge and folds, with a few shallow chips. Boards bumped at corners and spine ends, with toning along top back edge and a bit of a vertical crease down spine. Binding is sound and pages unmarked.
