Avgsburg (Augsburg): By the author, 1946. Very good. Third edition (originally published in 1924); 6 3/4 x 4 3/4; pp. [2], 5-76; light-brown wraps, printed and ruled in black; uniform age-toning; chips with small loss of paper to tips of spine; in very good- condition. Fedir Dudko (1885 - 1962), writing under the pseudonyms Odud, F. Karpenko, and others, was a Ukrainian author, journalist, and social activist. After working at the library of the Shevchenko Scientific Society, Dudko left Ukraine, first to Germany, where he spent time at several DP (displaced persons) camps and where he published his current book, and then to the US, where he worked for several emigre journals and wrote numerous short stories and novels, including the present one, dealing with the importance of spiritual independence of Ukraine.
