Printed in an edition limited to 500 copies all of which were printed upon paper (Cockerell 4; Peterson A4; Walsdorf 4). Lacking a couple silk ties. Evidence of bookplate removal to the front pastedown and endpaper, a very faint line from the spine to the fore-edge of the front board, else a near fine copy with natural toning / bowing to the vellum boards.
With a preface by William Morris. Nature of Gothic was one of Morris's favorite chapters from Ruskin's STONES OF VENICE. Finely printed in golden type with woodengraved borders, six and ten line initials. Illustrated with images of Gothic architecture throughout text.
