Image measures 7 1/2" x 10 1/4" This detailed map of Cartagena depicts the important port city, showing the city plan and surroundings. A key in the lower left labels important sites and churches, many still in use today, including the Cathedral, the churches of San Domingo and La Trinidad. The bastions, or ramparts surrounding the forted city, as well as the offices of the Inquisition are also labeled. Relief is depicted by hachure, showing the topography of the city's outskirts, with the Fort (Castillo de San Felipe) visible on high ground.
